02 - About

Speaking stops being stressful.

Maybe you want to bring your English back after a long break, or maybe you already speak well and want to get from 'I get by' to genuinely fluent. Either way the goal is the same: building English you can actually use, and the confidence to reach for it when it counts. In a meeting, in an interview, or just when you want to talk freely.

Plenty of my students arrive understanding far more than they can say. They know the words, but the moment it's their turn to speak, they freeze, certain it'll come out wrong. If that's you, you're in exactly the right place - a big part of my job is getting you through that stage. I learn as much from you as you do from me - every student's work and world is new to me, and getting to know them is the part I enjoy most.

Poznań is home now, not a stopover. I spent over a decade in corporate roles - Product Manager at Citi, Business Analyst on global system rollouts, and client-facing roles across telco, media, and tech. The English I teach isn't classroom theory - it's the English I used in meetings, in negotiations, and across markets.

Every student also gets access to my web app - personal flashcards, reading practice, and lesson supplements that continue the work between sessions.

04 - How it works

You don't need more English. You need somewhere to use it.

Across Europe three quarters of working-age adults know a foreign language, and barely a quarter feel they're any good at it. That gap is the whole story. Years of grammar, gap-fills and tests, and then the moment it matters, the words won't come.

And yes, it's nerves. Every student who has sat down with me has said so. But nerves aren't a character flaw you have to get over, and the research bears this out: the more anxious you are about how you sound, the less you speak, and the less you speak the worse it gets. That isn't a fault in you. It's what happens when nobody ever gave you anywhere to practise.

Most of what you get wrong, nobody can correct at the time. Stop you every time and the conversation dies, and you can't watch your own grammar while thinking of what to say next. So most of your fixable English goes past unaddressed. That's how speaking works.

So I built a system for the part a lesson structurally can't do. The words you reach for go into your flashcards, each one carrying the Polish, an example, and a breakdown of how it's actually said. Then the AI goes through every sentence you spoke in the hour and pulls out the moments you could have said better: your words, the cleaner version, why it's better, and the audio. The ones that keep happening get grouped into your patterns. Then exercises built from your own errors, marked Clean, Almost, or Not yet.

Not a topic I picked. Not textbook sentences. Yours. I catch a great deal while we talk; this catches what nobody could catch in real time.

Then through the week you work through them on your own, with nobody listening. Say it out loud, get it wrong, say it again. By the next lesson you've used the words before you needed them, so they're there when you reach.

The lesson itself stays in English, which is the whole point of learning with a native. But when you get stuck, the app has the Polish: every card carries the translation, and you can type any Polish word or sentence in and get the English back. A lower level isn't a reason to avoid a native speaker. You get the immersion, and the Polish is there when you need it.

How much you do between lessons is yours to decide. An hour a week is where you learn it. The other six days are where it becomes yours.

05 - The App

Every lesson comes with an app that carries on.

Free with every lesson, and it works on any device. The app carries the work on between our sessions - your vocabulary, your reading, and your corrections, all in one place. And it keeps growing.

Vocabulary from your lessons and your own finds, saved and ready to review, with audio.

02

Ready-made word lists

Curated decks for business English, phrasal verbs, idioms, and academic vocabulary.

03

Read articles, your own PDFs, Word docs, or images, or any web page - and look up any word to translate, hear, and save it.

04

Lesson supplements

After each lesson, your own mistakes become corrections and guided practice.

05

Built-in translator

Type anything in Polish, get a clean English version, and tap a word to keep it.

06

Progress you can see

A gentle streak and a clear view of what you've practised - no pressure, just momentum.

07 - Why me

Results you'll feel from the first lesson.

  • 01Native Australian speaker, 7+ years teaching Poles - so I know the mistakes Polish speakers make before you make them.

  • 03Over a decade of corporate background - finance, telco, media, tech.
  • 04No two students get the same lesson plan - or the same homework.
  • 05A clear Australian accent - international, easy on the ear, no regional slang.
  • 06I draw you out gently, so you surprise yourself with how much you can say.
08 - FAQ

Answers to what people ask me.

My English isn't strong. Won't a native speaker be too much?

It is the most common worry I hear, and it is the wrong way round. You don't need good English to start with me, you need some English to build on, and the lesson is where it gets used. When you get stuck, the app has the Polish: every flashcard carries the translation, and you can type Polish straight in and get the English back. So you get a full hour of real English without ever being stranded in it.

How does the free call work?

A 30-minute intro call at no cost - we discuss your goals, you get a feel for my approach, and you decide if it's a fit. No obligation. Want to try a full lesson first? A 60-minute trial lesson is 100 PLN, half the regular rate.

Online or in-person?

Both. Online works anywhere with a solid connection. In-person happens at a comfortable Poznań location.

What levels do you teach?

Almost any, as long as you've got some English to build on, right through to advanced professionals fine-tuning the details. Adults, teens, individuals and small groups.

Do you teach Business English?

Yes - a specialty. Meetings, emails, presentations, industry-specific vocabulary. Clients include CEOs, lawyers, auditors, doctors, IT specialists.

Do you issue business invoices?

Yes - invoices are available.

What do students get outside of lessons?

A personal app, free with every lesson and on any device: flashcards from our lessons, ready-made word lists, reading practice, lesson supplements, and a built-in translator. Try the demo - no sign-up needed →

How much work is there between lessons?

That's up to you, and more is genuinely better. After each lesson your own mistakes come back as corrections and practice, so there's always something specific waiting rather than generic homework. What matters most is regularity: students who do something on the days between move noticeably faster than students who only turn up on the day.
